I've been playing NWN2 for a few days now, unfortunately if my suspicions prove right then I might have to start over... I am currenly trying to finish the quest mentioned above for Axle, and even though the quest is now under the "Completed" tab in the journal, I cannot get Axle to acknowledge it. I tried to search for this problem on the web but found nothing and I was wondering if someone could confirm it to me that it is indeed a bug.

I defeated the Blade Golem, the cutscene triggered correctly, everything seemed to be fine and I went back to Axle who told me that "the visitors are still in the city", therefore I went back to the lair and finished off all the hostiles, but that didn't work either. Has anyone else encountered this?

Alright so I actually managed to solve this by reloading my autosave. I think the problem might have been the fact that I fought the golem before clearing out all of the enemies in the area. This time I did the opposite and now I can get to the next quest.

Sometimes, events just fail to fire properly. The miscellaneous quests you get after returning from Old Owl's Well are particularly notorious for this.
