Hi all.
I have played NWN long time ago but now when i have this edition frre from GOG I would like to start playing againg.
But I have a little problem with resolution of game on Windows 7. I start game and I have it on full screeen but window of game is such small in the middle. I ahve changed resolution for max on game options but it dosent change anthing.
Could anyone help me with this please.
Have you actually got in the game yet? Menus are like this and do not scale, the game itself works fine (albeit with progressively smaller UI on higher resolutions).
You need to change the display scaling in your graphics card control panel.
I have the same issue, with an old ATI mobility card. The catalyst control center says the scaling is set to fullscreen and not centered, but still there's that little box. The only way for me to play the game is to use window mode. From the NWN wiki "Window mode" (i can't post links):

Neverwinter Nights will start in window mode if certain lines from the file nwn.ini (found in the NWN directory) are edited as follows.

[Display Options]
FullScreen=0
AllowWindowedMode=1

The fullscreen line is already there, just change the value and add the next line.

You have to play with the resolution once in the game, if it's too high it switches to fullscreen (with that awful little box), alt+enter to go back to the window mode but it will be in the minimum resolution possible (800x600). Try resolutions until you find one that's high enough but doesn't change the game to fullscreen. Good luck!

This x100.

NWN works as intended. But the menu screens are not scaled. They are a tiny box in the center of the screen on modern high resolutions screens.

Make sure you get into the actual 3D game world before jumping to the conclusion that the game is just in a little box in the center of the screen.

There is ZERO need run in windowed mode. That is just pointless and annoying.
I tried, believe me, to run it fullscreen. Always the little box, no just the start menu but the actual game. Not just that, but parts of the game screen were cut off, for example the quickbar at the bottom was unusable. Maybe the OP is lucky and his game works. But mine didn't and window mode was the only solution in my case

Thank you so much for posting this question. I recently re-purchased this game during the Winter Sale, and I was a bit disheartened after I could not achieve 1440p FullScreen. My issue was solved (as stated by Nareshkendel) by finsihing my character creation, and playing with the resolution in-game. Hopefully, you can enjoy this classic dose of nostalgia soon!
I already posted this once for people with UI size on high res , but i guess no one reads.. :-/

Its working wonders on my 2048x1152 res. Font size and GUI is amazing and nicely scaled

That looks ugly and broken.

I have run it on a 2560x1600 screen just fine, just make sure you enable the build in option "High resolution font".

If you are on a high res, high PPI laptop screen, you would probably be better off just running at a lower resolution.

As I said, ugly and broken. Look at your character sheet. The bottom half has grown, and top hasn't, they are now weird and mismatched. Look at the function key labels. All you can see is a Giant F without it's number. Apparently you also lose your compass. Small text some places, giant text in other places. It's a hack and looks like it.

Beyond that, this is not even the problem people are complaining about. They are saying the whole screen is just a postage stamp in the middle surrounded by black bars. That isn't a NWN issue at all, but GPU/Windows setting issue.
