I feel like this may be a silly question, but how do I check which Act I'm in while playing the Neverwinter Nights 2 Original Campaign? My girlfriend and I are playing it together, and we don't know how far through the game we are. I'd like to avoid finding out by reading a walkthrough so as to avoid spoilers.

Putting it simply, act 2 starts in Neverwinter docks, and act 3 starts at Castle Never. If you haven't got to Neverwinter docks yet, you are in chapter 1. If you have, but haven't reached Castle Never, you are in chapter 2.

Thanks! We're in Act 2, then. Is there anyway to check in-game? I remember in NWN1, it would tell you in your saved game which Chapter you were in.

Er...no. You get to the Docks less than halfway through act 1. Act 2 starts off by giving you full access to the Blacklake district and Castle Never, although you do start off in the Docks. Act 3 returns you to Castle Never on your own, without any party members. Act 1 is quite long compared to the other two.

You can tell when you get to a new act, because it starts with a big screen-filling announcement that you're in act II/III.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. As I said, it's been years since I played the OC, and I was going by memory, which turns out, it seems, not so reliable. :)
