Hello,

I'd like how to proceed to add/modify properties to cold iron, alchemical silver, etc... weapons ?

Of course, I could use the Toolset but it implies to change each weapon one by one and it coult take a lot of time (besides the fact that theses changes won't appear in the items sold by vendors or looted but only if you craft yourself the weapons).

So I'd like to know which file to use and what I have to change in this file.

My ideas :

- Mithral : +1 divine dmg
- Alchemical Silver : +1 fire dmg
- Cold Iron : +1 cold dmg
- Darksteel : +2 acid dmg (instead of electricity)
- Adamantine : no change
- Shederran : +1d4 critical dmg
- Duskwood : +2 magic dmg (staves)

Hi, it's been a long time since I messed with NWN2. I looked in the 2da files to see if there was a 2da to change materials and I couldn't find one.
Have you tried to do this:
First go in the toolset, click View, then options, change AllowEditingGlobalBlueprints to TRUE, then click OK.
Then click Plugins, then Universal Blueprint Changer.
Click Items, then the + next to weapons.
You will have to do the next for each type of weapon and each type of special material:
For each weapon type/material type listing, in the properties window, click Item Properties line and change to the
property you want for that material type.
This would be a lot of work but you shouldn't have to do this for every single weapon in the game, just each weapon type/material type. I would think this would show up for every instance of said weapon in the game even if sold or picked up as loot.
Thanks for the answer.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Maybe I've missed something in the processus. When I modify the properties and go to the next weapon, the toolset asks to me to keep the modifications, I click "Ok" but it doesn't seem to take the previous modification into account.
At work now, will look at it later
Ok, try this: After adding the property you want for that weapon type/material type, make sure the word overwrite is clicked in the upper right of the window. In the lower right of the window, click on the tab Instances to Change. Make sure Find Selected Blueprint is selected. Click apply changes. Click yes.
When you click on the next weapon type/material type a window will pop up asking if you want to apply your changes before changing blueprints. Click No. Clicking Yes here seems to change all previous changes you already made to this blueprint's item property. So click No here.

I haven't checked within game if this will generate weapons with the new properties inside stores or random loot drops, but I would imagine it should.
Ok but must I register the file after ? In the override ?
Don't believe so. By doing this, you have written over the game's original blueprint. So this would affect any module you would play with. Now, if this is for a module you are creating for others to play, yes you would have to provide the blueprint file to put in a hak or into the player's override file.
I've tried with one weapon but it doesn't seem to work.
Doesn't work when? New blueprint doesn't show up in game? New blueprint doesn't show in store inventory or loot?

Doesn't show in inventory and loot.

By the way, I've modified properties and look of weapons and it works when crafting and looting (with the "cdaulepp Loot Generator" mod) ^^
