I found a way to keep Environmental Mapping On Creatures on, thus having shiny armors etc, even with the current ATI drivers and thought I'd share. Set Catalyst AI on and start the game in Windows XP compatibility mode. This worked on Windows 7 64-bit, Acer 7551G laptop with ATI Mobility Radeon HD5650. Catalyst AI would crash the game startup without compatibility mode for me.
