I have this same problem and I have no idea what is up. I'm first installed the game on my secondary hard-drive and figured I would uninstall and put it on my C Drive instead to see if that would fix it but that failed. I am not sure what to do now..... Makes me sad
An abnormal program termination could be caused by just about anything. The first thing that come to mind is a corrupt save file. Has it been edited?
With NWN if you have it installed someplace you can literally copy it to another place and then just run the exe from that directory. I have moved my directories around so much I don't remember where it was even first installed.

You may wonder why so many copy folders? I used to run a NWN server, 3 actually, off one computer and had to have multiple working copies. Servers didn't need to have multiple key codes.

I just posted this in another thread and I hope it helps you:

1.Did you patch to version 1.69 with the Critical Rebuild update?

2. Did you TURN OFF SHINY WATER? You'd be amazed how often this little option is the culprit of graphics errors.

3. Are you running NWN in compatibility mode as an administrator?
I have the same problem, I just can't get it to work.

Running it in compatability mode or running it as an administrator does not seem to do anything.
Right Click the program, go to properties and change the compatibility to windows XP (Service pack 2). This seems to have worked for me.
