How can I LAN play with myself? I keep getting "CD Key already in use" when I try to connect. I shouldn't need any CD key or account or anything like that for a GOG game! I don't even care about Internet multiplayer, just LAN play.
If you want to play multiple copies of the game at the same time, You have to have more then one CD-Key. The licence with the game only allows you to play it on one computer at a time. Even With the DRM Free version that GOG sells you do not have the right to play more then one copy at a time without buying a second copy.

With that said you can still play a second copy of the game on your local LAN by using a differant CD-Key for each copy. You have a Generic CD-Key that the game originaly came with, Use it on one of the computers. Get your second CD-Key by requesting a multiplayer CD-Key from GoG, To use on the other computer.
so if i installed the game on my old computer, then installed it on my new computer with the CD key i requested from GOG i cant play online? how the hell do they even do that?
rustinpeace91,
the game is shipped from GOG with a CD-key that works for single player gaming and non-online gaming. You can however request a CD-key that works for multiplayer/online gaming from them and that it for some reason how it is supposed to work. Its all on the support pages for the game.

If you want to play LAN with two computers they both need to have DIFFERENT CD-keys....so Lightfoot came up with a good solution there.

Anyway....what I said was exactly what Lightfoot said only in other words...

You CAN play it online with the multiplayer CD-key you requested from GOG. That is the whole purpose of that MP CD-key. Meaning that ONE of your computers (in this case the new one) will be able to play online.

...and again...the other (generic) key wont work for online/MP-play.
