Hello,
I've spent about 2-3 hours working on this on my own with 0 success. At first I would get a hard crash when the game started, but using http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=1222 fixed now. However, now when I get to the point where I select a module and on-wards (When ever something is actually being rendered) I have between 0-3 FPS, and nothing better, ever. I've tried changing every video setting. Only resolution has an effect, upping the fraterate to around 3-5 FPS @ 800x600, anything else I have less then a frame a second. I've run the critical update, tried disabling audio, using every different audio options, running windowed, CPU affinity changes though both the nwnplayer.ini and task manager, the July 2010 DX installer, Catalyst settings, Every compatibility setting/run as administrator, I can't even enable shiny water.
I'm running on an I7 @ 3.6 GHZ, ATI HD5870, 8 gigs of RAM, integrated audio.
I'm sure there are other things I've tried that I've forgotten, so feel free to mention whatever. Thanks.
Updated - A fresh install fixed everything. I didn't have the initial crashing issue, didn't need any patch. Weird. I'd delete the thread but I don't see how.
