I am trying to run this game smoothly I average 24-17 fps indoors and 12-14 out side I pass the specs to run it on max I disabled everything, downloaded the patch and it's on 32MB mode. When I played this game at first with 512MB ram it ran the same way as it dies with my 1gb of ram and my OS/Bios recognizes it.

Windows Pro SP3
P4 @2.4ghz
64MB intel gma
1 GB of Ram

Also if anyone can help me with duke nukem 3d slowing down on dukebot mode with monster that would be greatly apperated.
I'm guessing it might be your video card that is causing problems, do you have any specifics on it(like model number, there are a lot of gma chip sets, and not all would work). Also, where did you see that you fit into recommended specs?

To find out more on the videocard, click on start then run then type in dxdiag and press enter, you should find the exact card under either the first window or the video window.

Also, are you sure that you turned everything down, from draw distance to shiny water?

Oh, and for your duke nukem problem, are you playing in dosbox or in eduke32?

Oh, Intel GMA. These cards are SHIT. I myself am unlucky enough to have one too (intel GMA 950) and had exactly same FPS issue.

Just turn off shadows, it helps.

//EDIT: Wow, now I've noticed you've already turned off everything. Then I guess your Intel GMA really isn't enough for the game, sorry :\

it's a gma 8284 I have a vista computer with 128MB ati xpress 200m but I can barly get 5 fps on it I am also running dosbox. my computer passes these recommendec specs why can't I play the game flawlessly
I am running dosbox for duke nukem
yes, you should be meeting recommended specs, though GMA is not officially supported. It could also be that patches have moved the minimum specs up beyond what they were originally(I know this has happened in the past with other games, including morrowind I believe). Could you please copy and paste the nwn.ini file located in your game directory(should be C:\Program Files\GoG.com\NeverwinterNights\nwn.ini or similar), this will help with diagnosing the problem.

And for duke nukem, try installing eduke32 from here: http://eduke32.com/

I'm not surprised that the vista computer is running it slowly, even with the superior graphics card.

It wont let me attach the nwn file (thats the inin file right) do you know if eduke32 run on my computer

you don't need to attach it, just open it with something like notepad and then copy and paste it here.

eduke32 should work on your computer, though I don't know how well.

ok, this is I have not done much with this file, but here is what I can guess might help:

try changing
CreatureShadowDetail to 0
and
NumDynamicLights to 0

you may also want to try lowering the VideoQualitySetting to something lower, though I'm not sure if that will change anything important(I say this because mine is also set to 3, but I have a much more advanced video card). Let me know if any of this works or not.
I put everything on low and 32MB mode and it moves at 13.5 fps outside but it runs smooth so I'll just have to work with this, also thanks for the eduke runs way better. The funny thing is on my cousins laptop it works flawlessly on an intel 128MB card and 1.4ghz

have you tried changing the values in the .ini file as I suggested, they may be able to get you significantly more fps in game.

And I'm guessing that the main thing holding you back is your video card right now.

I'm going to bed now, so if you need help with anything else I'll be back online tomorrow(or someone else can help as well).

It's a long shot but I'm sure this helped with geting HL2 Episode 2 working on my PC; make sure the sound is set to the most basic settings, no EAX or anything like that.

That aside, yeah, that graphics card is pretty terrible. You have the same RAM as me and a better CPU and I can run it on maximum at 1280x1024, with the only noticeable slowdown being in certain very populated areas when the camera is zoomed all the way out. And my graphics card is crappy too - just a Radeon x1300 (was a good budget card about 5 or 6 years ago at least).
