sadtom: Gents,

Try setting to "force Anti Aliasing" in your ATI/Nvidia/other GPU control panels, either for this game or for all games. That should render in much higher virtual resolution, and down-sample back to 640x480 with smooth edges ;-)
Excellent! I went into my ATi control panel, set application specific settings for game.exe (NOT MotoRacer.exe) with all sorts of filtering. Pressed apply and now the game looks much better. Thanks so much sadtorn.
I know this is an old thread but I'd like to confirm that changing the frame rate limit does mess with the game's physics.

- Bikes don't lean properly (read: at all), nor do they take time to reach maximum turn, it's just instant.
- Wheelies are snappier.
- Dirt bikes lose the ability to jump. Yes, that means you can ride like an asshole, constantly doing wheelies and sticking to the bumpy road, making dirt tracks much easier.
- Replays don't display properly, never switching from the behind-the-bike view.

Those are all the effects I noticed, though they're enough to break the game's appeal.

Make sure you set the frame limit to whatever your monitor current refresh rate is rather then 0. Eg: -frameRateMax85 or -frameRateMax60. That should run game super smooth and with normal speed.

Tyvm, finally I'm able to see it with a semi-smooth framerate.

I did some testing (also some with dxtory) and found a few more quirks;
- The max glitch-less in-game (not menus) frame rate is 50. I tried setting -us in case it was some PAL50 thing from the 90s but nothing changed.
- Setting FrameRateMax to anything between the game's default frame rate and 90 will raise the actual frame rate up to 50 and no higher.
- Setting FrameRateMax to anything from 91-99 will make the game run at a higher frame rate, essentially the same as setting it to 0, glitches and all. See my previous post to read the effects of that.
- Setting FrameRateMax to 100+ will do nothing and leave the game running at 25-30 fps.
