On February 14 a DLC of the game will be released: Second Term. The problem is that at the moment it was only announced for Steam and there is no news about if it will reach GOG that same day, or if it will arrive later. For the moment, since the game's release in GOG in December, we have had the same updates as the Steam version, so I hope that the same thing happens with this DLC in GOG.

According to the developers, theis DLC will have:
The school year at Spooky High continues with Monster Prom: Second Term, the very first content expansion of the widely-popular multiplayer dating sim developed by Beautiful Glitch. Second Term features all-new characters, narratives and events that will provide you with countless new experiences in your quest of finding monster love.

Features:

120+ new events to experience alongside our ghoulish gang.

Around 10 new secret endings to tug at your heartstrings.

2 new love interests - Zoe and Someone Else ;)

10+ NPCs, ranging from a preppy Yeti to an obnoxious Kappa character.

New end-credits polaroids to boost your ever expanding collection.
So join up with Scott, Polly, Miri and the rest of your scary-sexy classmates for a whole new term of dread and debauchery. Prom is still 3 weeks away, but now the odds are stacked even harder against you, with all new boos to woo, prophecies to decipher and complicated sex-moves to conquer. In short, many more ways in which to be your worst self.

And apparently the DLC is going to be mandatory if we want to play online with someone who already has the DLC.

Thanks for the heads up! Hopefully we get it here too, as you said - but since they've been consistent with bringing the updates over so far, I'd be surprised if they stopped now.

The new content sounds pretty sweet-- *sees Zoe* HOLY HECK YES.

[[*SPOILER*: I was pretty underwhlemed by her old route, especially the ending polaroid. Glad they're actually giving her some proper action now. Could always do with more Cthulu waifu]]

Also, since they're adding in so many new events (and likely removing the Gift Update content [edit: my bad, they're not removing anything, just making it rarer]), guess now's the time to farm the old achievements before they're gone. Or impossible to attain in this lifetime...

You think they'll be removing the winter stuff? My assumption is it's based on calendar? It'd suck if content rotates actually out of the game with updates like that, though I guess we could roll back the installed version.

I didn't really get to experience summer or Halloween before the winter update.

My apologies, I just did a little research and it looks like what happens with every new event is:

- old seasonal events are still available, but drop in likelihood of being encountered. This affects any RNG routes.
- old seasonal items are still available, so any item endings are always obtainable (so presents from the Gift Update should stay)
- old seasonal outfits are removed (it seems they get added to the gallery come the next update, without needing to be unlocked/seen in the wild)

I will say that the drop in seeing old seasonal events makes them really hard to get. As an example, I only ever encountered Damien's special summer route once, failed it, and never saw it again in the 7+ hours since. (Maybe I just have shit luck. Maybe it's Maybelline.)
This would also affect the already-batshit-crazy-hard-to-obtain "Go play outside!" and "Honey... this isn't healthy" achievements, if that's your thing.
It is a pity that in GOG this DLC has not yet gone on sale. And we must see if at any time they will notify when it is coming out, or we will suddenly see the DLC in the store without prior notice.
So next week,
yeah?
Good news: The DLC is now on sale at GOG! And with 10% discount :)
