I remember that I read somewhere that spears add another "dice" when wielded 2 handed (basically always).

So by default a 1d9 spear is a 2d9 damage (unless we dual wield spear + sword, in that case the damage is 1d9 + sword damage).

But Since I cannot find it anywhere, I have the doubt that is true. Can anyone confirm or reject this fact? I remember I readed that for MM7, is that true also for MM8?

I already readed it, it tells nothing about damage. Just recovery time and chance to hit.

Actual Damage? Chance to hit; Recovery Speed, Weapon Enhancement, AC of opponent, Resistance of opponent . I am sure there are other factors. A formula for Damage would be tough and I don't think I ever saw one.
It is true in MM6. It says so at the end of the weapon descriptions themselves (when viewed by right mouse button). Confirmed on character stats page by Damage under Attack.

Example - I have a (twice-promoted) archer. Put an elite halberd her hands and her attack Damage is shown as 32-52 made up of 9 (due to her Might, as I could see when she was holding nothing) + 9 (her master spear skill) + 4-24 (4d6) + 10 (weapon bonus). This takes no account of special damage from an enchantment on the weapon ("of Frost", 6-8 Cold).

With the halberd in right hand and mighty broadsword in left her damage becomes 44-68 (plus two enchantment effects). That difference between min and max is correct for 3d6 (halberd) + 3d4 (broadsword).

Each of the spear-class weapons adds an extra die of damage when used two handed. For example, spears add 1d9, while tridents add 1d6.

Like RSimpkinuk57 did, you should be able to confirm it for yourself. Get a Knight or Archer, get them to Master Spear (able to hold it one handed). Check the stats page when they are holding just the spear, then compare to the damage from when they are holding spear + shield.
Thank you, I had just started the game, so I had no chance to verify that immediatly
