I'm suffering from a known issue, which apparently has a fix, which I've been unable to locate.
The problem I'm having is that all attacks from the enemy hits a single character, until it is down, then damage will start to spread out over the rest of the party. It is always the same character that gets targeted first (position number 3, which is my cleric).

*edit* Never mind, I found the problem. Goblins loves to attack dwarfs first, my cleric is a dwarf, thus that character is getting slaughtered.

Yeah, that happens a lot - certain enemies will always seem to target a specific class or race in your party all the time. I can't remember what the potentials were, but the cleric in general is often one of them .... not just the dwarf.
Yes, undead like to target clerics. Poor guy, he hardly has time to get up before he goes down again.
And that's why my cleric is ALWAYS human. It's enough that undeads hit him/her all the time. I don't want any racist (like goblins) joining the ultimate quest for eliminating my walking medicine chest ;)
I've noticed that once you get a promotion that the "classist" enemies spread their attacks out over everyone. Nothing you can do about the racist enemies though!
LOL yeah an elf cleric gets all beat up lol. For mm7 I use elf druids for the healer. I also generally have more than one elf. I usualy have a goblin ranger axe build, a human knight, an elf druid and an elf sorcerer. The gogs can be a pain in early levels, but otherwise this party kicks butt.

If your wondering about the goblin ranger, my build ignores magic and maximizes axes, a very high dps build!
