First, MM6: I'm having trouble finding appropriate settings in Wine to allow it to run in full screen. I've tinkered with 'screen options'; the only way the game can run without having the opening splash screen frozen is in a window. No matter the size of the virtual desktop, it runs windowed at the same native (low) resolution. At least the graphics all work, although the music doesn't seem to play either. I don't know enough about the dozens of possible Winetricks. I played this game my freshman year of college every single waking minute that I wasn't in the practice room (I'm a pianist) or studying or eating cereal, so it would be great if it could run fullscreen.

MM7: It can run without D3D, but with it there are a lot of flashing screen artifacts. Checking/unchecking 'decorate windows' or 'auto detect GPU' doesn't seem to matter, nor changing the windows version - haven't tried installing other unofficial patches. Any ideas for either of these?

for the music to work, you need to move the files from the Sounds directory into a new directory called Music. then open mm6.ini and change PlayMP3 to 1, or something to that effect.
check the Greyface readme for the correct commands.

I too had to fiddle a lot before I got MM6 to work properly on Mac. I don't know the used tricks by heart so I'll have to check later. Using an older engine solved the crashing problems I had.

One setting that solved a bunch of problems for me (flickering screen) was DDR=GDI.
it's somewhere in the winetricks list, you might need to search for a bit.

[edit] My wrapper is made with Wineskin 2.5.12 and engine used is WS8Wine1.5.1.
Also installed the latest Greyface (1.11.2) and everything works.

I have tinkered with creating a Wineskin wrapper using wrapper version 2.6.0 and got MM6 to run fullscreen using engine 1.7.18, with no flickering and everything works including music. The suggestion to use Winetricks to set DDR=GDI seems to have been helpful.

I installed the game using GOG's install exe for the 6 game bundle and only selected MM6 during the installation.
