This probably applies to M&M 6 also but I never play M&M 6 so...

Anyway the problem is this: I have a Windows 10 x64 bit system (with an AMD 3D card) and when I run either M&M 7 or 8 most shops I enter and NPCs I try to talk to causes the game to freeze up for one or two minutes (very rarely there is a crash to desktop).

Anyone have any idea what is causing this or how to fix it?

I'd imagine running it in compatibility mode for windows 7 or xp should fix it for you.

Of course this was the first thing I tried and compatibility mode in Windows 10 (x64) does no good...ever. I think there was one game that ran better after applying compatibility with Windows XP (or earlier), of the scores of games I have tried to install/run on this PC.

Do you use the greyface patch? I can run the games on win10 64x but I always install the greyface patches.
