All my controls are DEFAULT. So, what i mean by actions are activated VERY slowly is :

-when i press SPACEBAR, i need to hold it there for 5 secs before i can search a corpse/open a talk/talk to an NPC

-when i press ENTER, i need to hold it there for 5 secs before i go into turn-based mode

-when i press TAB, i need to hold it there for 5 secs before i switch to the next character

-when i press A/S, i need to hold it there for 5 secs before i auto attack an enemy/cast a quick spell

-basically, this is what's happening for 70% of all my keyboard controls on MM7

It is IMPOSSIBLE to play if there is a 5 sec delay for all my controls. Any help please? I just want to play my MM7 T.T

Have you tried turning the sound or other effects off? Play with some of the settings and see if it makes a difference.

i've tried everything in game , gamma, sound, switching the controls, blah blah. nothing worked. all my controls still has the reaction time of a 90 year old.

Is it possible something other than the game is hogging your memory?

GOG's support team just got back to me. Apparently i just have to run the program as administrator and everything will be fine. So all's good now!

Isn't windows wonderful? MM7 was a really good game, lots of time spent on that one.
