Megarace 1 and 2 are 2 of the worst racing games I have ever played.

1st off, there are no menu listings when you 'tab' to the menu's.
I have no idea what the menu's do.

2nd, when playing either game, all you do is get stuck to the rails.
Thats it.
Enjoy racing scraping against the rails.

3rd, the keyboard to game time is aweful. I try to turn left, and have to keeep tapping the left arrow key for about 3-4 seconds before it turns the car.

Utter waste of my money, as these things make it virtually unplayable.
:(

At least MR3 I can actually play.
The car turns when I hit a key once, and you dont stick to the rails.
This one reminds me of WipeOut though.
Not car racing, but futuristic Star Wars looking racing pod things.

On MR1, try not pressing the accelerator until the race starts - that might help. Although if you're referring the the fact that MR1 is essentially a shooter on rails, then yes, it is.

The MR1 menu is pretty self explanatory, but if you need more help there is always the manual.

As for the lag on the keyboard, try fiddling with the dosbox settings and see if that helps.
I kind of agree with OP. All the reviews, and the description made these games sound better than they are. I think nostalgia plays a big part. However I also get the feeling that the OP was having technical difficulties with the dosbox config. I don't sense a lag for turning, although the sync between the fmv and the actual car mechanics can be a bit trippy.
