-Mithridates-: From what I read on Steam forums the last time I checked, the creator of the new version didn’t seem to be very understanding of people’s issues with graphics in this version. But it is good that this has been fixed.
Okay, I may have had a hand in that... But I don't think I can really blame the author either. Very few people that I know take well to negative criticism of something they created from scratch, and he did eventually start looking into the alternative on his own.
-Mithridates-: So if you use the original tile set, then it will look exactly like when you play the original game under Dosbox?
That's correct, although Orihalcon (new terrain special with graphic) and non-walled cities (bugged feature in classic v1.31) may still make it look somewhat different.
-Mithridates-: And is it possible to play the game in fullscreen now?
Technically, I could probably say "Yes" without lying, but actually, not really. The game uses the original images, so at best you can get scaled / stretched full screen. For the same reason, as far as I know, the view window of the overland map is also still only 12x10. It has been proposed that a full replacement of the graphics and UI is feasible (the author even refactored the engine code to make this as easy as possible), but there have been no takers so far.
