Can you run the game in fullscreen? Mine opens in window by default and i can't find a way to change it.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it. You have to edit (with notepad) MajXPrefs file, that is located in Documents/My Games/MajestyHD and change the line "<Windowed>1</Windowed>" to "<Windowed>0</Windowed>"

Excellent!
Thank you!

This no longer works with Galaxy. Game will crash immediately if trying to run through Galaxy with this change.

I used this method to set game to a fullscreen mode at my native resolution. The game works if I launch it from "GalaxyClient/Games/Majesty Gold HD" folder OR the Galaxy window, but crashes if I try launching it using a desktop shortcut.
Just do the same to the intro video:

change it from <IntroVideo>1</IntroVideo> to <IntroVideo>0</IntroVideo>

This will stop the movie from running and stop the game crash. However, you will not be able to see the movie anymore.

I NEED HELP!

I have a problem with windowed mode, where the bottom of the game screen goes under the Windows toolbar and i can't do anything. If I maximize the windowed mode the screen goes all funky, I get all sorts of artifacts, the picture would freeze and then fail to refresh, etc.
Naturally I would prefer to play fullscreen so I didn't care much about this problem. I edited the mayxpref to disable windowed, but now I've got an even bigger problem!!!

The image gets blurry!!!

The weird thing is the effect sometimes goes away. For example when I click on an option on the menu it clears up, but as soon as I move the mouse cursor it all goes blurry. It makes playing impossible.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

I'm playing on my secondary system, a budget laptop with intel i3-5010U, intel hd5500, running Windows 10.
Thank you for the fix, disabling videos worked for me.
YMOC,

I had the same issue. As far as artifacts are concerned, they just stopped for some unknown reason. I had uninstalled and reinstalled. I don't know if that's what helped, but they are gone now. As for the screen problem with having the bottom of the window obscured, try moving the windows taskbar so that it is vertical on the screen. It's a pretty simple operation to perform even if you just want to do it for the duration of the game.

Two additional things worth noting. First, I tried editing the text file in this thread to just run the program full-screen and it led to a crash every time. Secondly, I downloaded the demo version of Majesty from the web and it ran in the usual full screen with no problems.

UPDATE: Per messages above, make sure you make BOTH suggested edits to that file, and you will run full screen and not suffer any crashes.

I got tired of playing around with the gog version so I bought it on Steam on sale for $2.50 and no problems with Win 10 and no problems with full screen.

I love GOG, but If Steam can fix this so can you.
