I don't ever recall being as confused and frustrated by a game as this.

I don't even understand the health bar display! (I'm not asking for an explanation - just pointing out how baffled I am by every aspect of the game)

So. Instead of asking all sorts of questions - is there a video that explains HOW to play the game without a lot of spoilers?

Another example of confusing. Early in the game, under the city. I get to the point where the blink tutorial starts up. Afterwards, I try and do it. Nothing happens! It says you hit space and the movement keys (AWSD). I do that and nothing much happens (other than moving with a little dodge skip - it's not even a little bit like what the tutorial showed)

-------

I'll clarify. I've seen "Let's Plays" of Lichdom. But if the vid maker is as ignorant as I am - then it doesn't help. A let's play from someone who's FINISHED the game - who's starting over to show how it works - that would be great.

I don't know a good video, not even a good write up, but I can give some explanation (I know i'm late, but others might find it useful).

There are 2 types of blinks in this game: quick blink and tactical Blink. Tactical blinks can only be performed if the player has a tactical shield equipped, which he likely doesn't have when the tutorial shows up, so this information can be ignored for once.
Quick blinks are indeed just little dodge steps in the direction the player is moving (left, right, forwards or backwards). They might seem a little useless at first but are in fact incredibly useful in battle, as you can dogde almost any attack with them without even interrupting spell charging. Quick blinks can be performend 3 times in a row, than you have to wait a few seconds for them to get up again (indicated by a sound effect).

The above is really good info.

Honestly op, I played this ages ago, but I don't remember having any trouble getting into the controls.

What I remember this game being a problem in... is that it just kept going on and on and on..... I quite playing after it got boring.
It got boring after the huge crab battle.
