Hi, just a few quick questions to anyone who may know the answer.
Regarding combat, do the difficulty settings for combat change how hard the bad guys are to fight, or does it effect how frequently you fight? Also, do you get more experience on a higher difficulty setting or no?
Another question I had is if magic-users can use bows if they have the skill?
Also, what does it mean to have combat favor magic, hand-to-hand or equal? (you have this option at the beginning of the game when you're setting up a new book).

Difficulty settings affect the difficulty of fights there are actually only a set amount of fights in the game, like 70-80 random fights + set encounters in the first 4 chapters. I'm unsure on the exp question but I don't think so.
Magic users cannot use bows but on the other hand their spells are better than bows.

Combat favor basically gives an edge to that type of fighting. If you select combat you and your enemies are more likely to attack successfully with weapons but spells will fizzle more often. If you select magic its the opposite and balanced is normal.
