Felikkz7 has released a new Single Player Episode for Kingpin called Night Work at the Factory.

In his own words:-
"An add-on for KINGPIN the famous FPS.
With a real scenario and many cutscenes.
With a lot of new materials, textures, dialogs and original musics.
With puzzles, platforms and intense fights.

So, everything we can expect for Kingpin
This add-on has been in production for over ten years so you can expect high quality.
It's massive and so you can expect many hours of entertainment. I would say it's similar in size to the original game."

There are eight chapters all set in a different location. They include train yards, coal works, steel works, warehouses and a country estate.

This is oldschool gaming and is very challanging.

My advise when playing is to look everywhere in the map. Don't rush to the end as you will miss a lot, like that one health bag or the shotgun ammo or even the key you need!

If a window/door/grate won't open try smashing it and did I mention to search everywhere :)

The inclusion of quick save and quick restore keys is a very welcome inclusion.

Make sure to pay attention to the custscenes as they really help progress the story along.

You can download Night Work At The Factory v1.2 from:-
Felikkz7's webpage

AusGamers Files

GameFront has v1.0 and the v1.2 patch

looks great
Felikkz7 has released a small v1.2 patch for Night Work At The Factory. The patch 1.2 includes the 1.1 changes.

You can download Patch 1.2 from his website here - http://felikkz7.free.fr/downloads.html

As some people were having a problem understanding the speech in the opening cutscene (which explains the whole point of the episode) Felikkz7 has made a comic strip of this cutscene with all the dialogue written in.
You can also download the Bar Dialogue Comic Strip from his downloads page (link above).

Are there some tips about the mod called "Night Work at the Factory"? I'm stuck on the first level where the character has to get out of some alleyway, but every different path I take takes me back to the alley dead-end. I have the crowbar and the flashlight, and I went through some basement and arrived at the roof. Now I'm at the part where the character is balancing on narrow beams near the roof and a lamppost is close by, but I can't figure out where to go next.

Hi,
Don't worry. Many players were stuck before. I wanted this level a bit Tomb Raider like and it woks better than I expected. :)
Just break the skylight on the roof.

That's weird because I never was able to find a skylight to break. Which room was that in? I already went through the parts where the floor falls out below you in the small "tunnel" section. Then a bad guy spawned and the protagonist had to defeat him. But where is the skylight?

Ok, I finally found the skylight and fell through it. Now I'm at a section where there's 2 bad guys and no doors to exit through. The stairwell is broken.

I've sent a PM :)
Maybe after 2 years someone can still help me with this mod :)

I'm stuck on the Converyor Belt to Hell level. I made it into the control room by using a key and used the oil on the one broken switch out of the four on the control panel in the room. However, nothing seems to have happened, there's still sparks flying when I use the switch. Moreover, I have no idea what the four switches do anyway. I got back to the map before with the steam pipes and rode the conveyor belts again only to get a second cutscene set in hell, the one where some guy is sitting on his throne and first makes a girl jump into the lava, and then Thug appears and the guy talks to him, but I don't know what since the speech quality is kinda low. I only understood the last part, which was something about me being not ready yet. So I got dropped at the converyor belt again and this time when I rode it to to the end, I fell into a small metal box with no escape (Of course I was able to use noclip). Still, isthis suppoed to happen? How can I finish this map? Isit bugged?

Hi Chemoskill
Stuck for two years! Wie schade ;) Yes, there's a little bug in Kingpin. In mapping, to activate events, such like a map change, we use Triggers. Triggers are non visible volumes that return a 1 value to the system when the player touch them. But, in Kingpin, Triggers are sensible to the forward orientation of the player. Meaning that if you cross a Trigger walking backward, there's a chance for being not detected :( Normally, just after the top of the latest conveyor, you jump downward and the map change occurs. BUT, if you have been looking at the ceiling when jumping, the trigger certainly didn't detect you. And you ended in the metal box, a place not intended to be seen normally.
So, you just have to play again this sequence, and make sure you keep looking DOWN when jumping. :)

Thank you for your reply. The two years I mentioned are not the time I was stuck, but rather the last time something was posted in this thread before my post ;) I just cheated my way out of this mess by loading the next map.

Hi I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the mod. I had no report of issues after the conveyor.

@felikkz7

Will there ever be a real widescreen patch for this mod released?
