How come we don't get the latest updates (bug fixes) on the GOG version, compared to the Steam version?
I had a rather annoying bug the other day that I can see was fixed a few days ago, on Steam. Meanwhile latest update on GOG was in early December

Should I expect it to not recieve the same amount of updates on GOG? Seems like it's currently 2 updates behind the steam version (1.0.8 and 1.0.10).

Thanks.
The GOG offline version is currently 1.0.8
The GOG client version is currently 1.0.9
The GOG client Testing version is 1.0.10, I believe but I don't use it (don't like beta versions).

Steam only has Testing as default, I think.

p.s. if you want bleeding edge and not complain here about crashes, then you need to use the client and subscribe to beta channels.

pps. even on Steam 1.0.10 is the experimental branch.

Forgot there's so many ways to use GOG. But I use the GOG Galaxy client, however my version is 1.0.8, and it won't update. When I look at the update history from the client, it also says 1.0.8 is the latest. Never had any issues with updates not initiating. Like you, I also avoid beta branches and such.

Also not sure why you think I'm complaining about any crashes; what I'm interested in knowing is the support given to the product on GOG, as I've seen a few other games get a lot slower or almost no support/updates when compared to the Steam versions.
I'm not fussed about delays, but I'd definitely swap platform if we're to miss out on updates all-together here.

Anyway, thanks for the info, and heads up on the steam version being an experimental branch - I guess it's only one version behind for me now.
I used galaxy to get 1.0.9, weird. It is definitely available.

I meant, if you subscribe to beta then you forfit the right to complain, as you are testing. But it is an indie title anyway.. I had a crash here and there with the stable version, but also use mods and this again means I take a risk.
