Uyu: Hi Wolfram_von_Thal,
sure!
A DRM free system and game needs other installers and other systems in place. These lines of code, theses installers etc. need to be tested, so that you players won't run into frustrating problems. All these systems need to be developed, covered and tested for a lot of PC systems with different hardware combinations and different OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) in 32+64 bit. This is what we are doing right now as fast and good as we can.
I can really understand your concern, but I hope you will understand and bear with us. We want you to play the game as fast as possible and are giving it our all with top priority.
Uyu
Hey,
Thank you for the explanation. But I have to confess I still can't understand why all of this testing hasn't been done beforehand to guarantee a simultaneous release on both platforms. And there is still the irritating fact that the pirates seem to be able to produce the drm-free installers almost immediately after the Steam release.
Anyway, thank you for your answer, I'm looking forward to book 2.
