As the title say I've spent many hours loading, saving, and starting the game without issue. Now all of a sudden nothing is working. The game will boot up I hit the load icon and it will highlight which save file I want and then I press load and nothing happens. For some reason I'm able to select multiple save files ( the little orange icon on the left side lights up). I've tried starting a new game to see if this would correct the issue and I can only select the class from the avatar screen then they do their little animation and that's it. Nothing happens after that. Tried rebooting , running in administrator, , and switching compatibility options to no avail. I've put way to many hours into this game to try and do reinstall.

This happens if you save your progress when there are red squares in your user interface. These squares indicate that an untreated memory leak occured and the game is falling apart. When this happens it is highly recommended to quit the game immediately without saving it and launch it again. But if you did save your progress there is only one thing you can do now - check all your saves to see if some of them still loads. But keep in mind that if you try to load a corrupted save, the game hangs and will not load even a good save (or start a new game) - so if you click on the Load button and nothing happens you have to re-launch the game before trying to load another save. Hopefully you still have some good saves left because if you don't there is nothing that could help you as there is no way to fix a corrupted save.

If I'm not mistaken, no one knows what exactly causes this memory leak. Most players will never experience it, to some it happens several times at first but then never again. And because there is no one left to dig into the code to find the issue and fix it, I don't believe it will ever be fixed.
