Sorry for making this it's own topic but I really need this answered. Pressing ~ doesn't bring up the cheat console and neither does any of the other buttons. I remember having to add something like "-console" to the end of the shortcut directory in other, older games so is there maybe something like that that I need to do? This is driving me crazy because even on easy the combat is way too hard for me.

I open it fine by pressing the button to the left of number 1 (º \ ª ). Then again my keyboard isnt most probably like yours (it has an extra letter).
Yeah that's the ~ key for me. Has anyone from the US gotten it to work? It seems like everyone who got it open is from Europe.
Same thing for me in Australia, tilde "~" (upper case of " ` ") to the left of 1 and under escape does not open the console
Are you using a laptop? My boyfriend and I both have problems using consoles on laptops.
I use a laptop too and it works, but I have like sadbloke the keyboard with the right button next to the 1 and right over tab. Don't you have it too, maybe somewhere else: a button that can write ^^ and/or °? Maybe you find it by pressing all after each other :x
A bit far fetched maybe, but I installed the game at a "Custom" location. I have no problem on activating the console. I'm on Windows 7.

I only need to use the "Tilt Button= ~".

Has anyone found a way to add items/and or to heal up? Or even open the shop interface? I'm in a particularly annoying dungeon at the moment and am out of supplies, and backtracking to town would mean a delightful 30 minutes of my wasted time. Silly me, I thought videogames were supposed to be fun.

On a related note, can I advocate the ritual dismemberment of the person responsible for some of this game's more offensive design decisions?

Well, there are always magic boxes. If you look for secrets, you should have plenty of them by now.

What was your custom location?

I've got a partition on my HD just for Games( D:\ Games). You can choose at the install screen, either the "Install Default location usually C:\, or a Custom Install".
The Tilde (~) button causes a small > under the portrait, which I could hardly see. You may not be seeing it.

So anyone actually have any commands for the console?

This was answered by Fenixp. Here you go.:

For Inquisitor Some Cheats:
Press ~ to get into console and write (including backslash!):
\givemoney 10 - gives you 10 gold (pick whatever number you want)
\addexp 1000 - gives you 1000 exp, again, pick any number you want
\addskillpts 1000 - adds skill points
\addattribpts 1000 - adds attribute points

Cool, those console commands work perfectly.
Is there a command to add specific items in your inventory? That might save me some trouble ! :)

I posted this in the other thread as well but figured i should post it here for more exposure, I dont have the game, waiting for a sale, so I need someone to test this and report back.

Years ago i had trouble accessing the console in Silent Storm Sentinels, a bit of googling led me to the solution of disabling the ITECIR Infrared Receiver (EC), under Human Interface Devices, in Window's Device Manager to fix the issue then. See if this works for you guys , barring failure you could just re-enable it.

From Kovi> http://www.gog.com/en/forum/inquisitor/dead_bodies_needed_to_finish_the_game/post6

If I'm not mistaken, you should keep them because you will need them later on again. But those that dropped them and can't find them anymore, or destroyed them can add them using the console:
Press ~ and type:
\ givenewitem ObetniMrtvola1
\ givenewitem ObetniMrtvola2
\ givenewitem ObetniMrtvola3

(according to which dead body you dropped/destroyed)

also that thread has the dagger parts and other quest items in it.
