can I get through game without using divine strike and use more spells

I wasn't playing as paladin, but I guess you can give it a try. I assume that sooner or later your paladin will turn into a killing machine even without using Divine Strike.

Divine Strike is awesome, BUT you have to maximise for it to reach its true potential. At level 20, you can stun-lock enemies constantly, even bosses.
