In Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, I've always wondered about the IQ Points for winning fist fights (fairly; no sucker punch, which gives no IQ Points) against the extremely hard opponents (Hans and Anton on the Fists path) or the impossible ones (Arnold on the Fists path and Sophia's Dungeon guard (a.k.a. Fritz) in Atlantis). I've never been able to win any of these fights myself, and I've found a couple of other people on the internet who claim to have able to beat them but said they only able to win against Arnold or the Dungeon guard by hacking the game and pumping up Indy to extremely powerful levels.

Although it kind of seems to be defeating the purpose, does anyone know a way to do this (i.e. cheat)? I'm still curious.

With older versions of ScummVM, it was possible to save anywhere in the game including mid-fight. So you could throw a couple of punches and successfully block, then save, then reload as necessary to win the harder fights.

A similar discussion elsewhere on this forum suggested this has now been patched out of ScummVM - but you can find older versions at their website and locate one with this functionality.
