Curious if anyone has tried the mod that moves IWD into the BG2 engine? Thinking of giving it a try with the npc mod.

Thanks.
As of version 8, both David and I feel it's in pretty good shape. If you try it, please report any bugs or weirdness you encounter.
I really liked the idea of this mod, as it made character creation and gameplay more diverse (even if a bit too easy at times), so I decided to give it a try about 2 weeks ago.

Unfortunately my progress was halted after clearing out Kresselack's Tomb, as Lysan never spawned in the cave. I started a new game a few days later and got to the point again where I was supposed to meet he priestess, but she was nowhere to be found this time either.

If anyone could provide me with a solution to this bug I'd really appreciate it.

If you have not actually agreed to kill her, ie. if you said you would 'think about it', then she won't show up. You MUST say you'll dispose of her to Kresselack, who will then tell you she's in the vale.

That's what I did on both occasions, yet she still wasn't in the cave.

Strange thing is that on my first try I went into Lysan's cave prior to having agreed to kill the priestess, and the 5 yetis spawned like in the vanilla game. On my second try I visited Lysan's cave only after talking to Kresselack, and not only did Lysan not spawn but the yetis weren't there etiher.

Maybe it's an unresolved bug in the IWD 2 BG2 mod? I can't say, as I've never actually played this mod... but now you have me curious and I've just downloaded it. When I get the chance to actually play it, I'll report my experience here, assuming you haven't found a solution by then.

I actually wanted to post this at the time on the G3 forum for the mod, but then I saw that someone had already done so, however, there was no answer...so it might be an unresolved bug. I already decided to wait for a new version of the mod, but if anyone could come up with something as to what might be causing this it would nice.

Thanks for the work on this! Really looking forward to playing it (though will be a few weeks at least).

Well, I can confirm that this bug does indeed exist: I got to Lysan's cave and there were no Yetis and no Lysan. I had to console her in to continue. This is a fresh install, with no other mods than the ice-tutu-tweaks, which is supposedly required. Still not resolved (or officially acknowledged as a bug) in the G3 forum, from what I could see.

I tried v8 when it first came out. Unless there's a revised release, Cam, I can't recommend it. My bug report thread at the G3 forum lists them all. I believe they still have v7, and hot fix 13, still linked on the IWD-in-BG2 forum. Still I enjoy playing the conversion, and my barbarian is always in his element...
The mod doesnt work. It crashes on NPC mode project. I cant see playing without being able to make my whole party.
Sorry for posting in old thread but for anyone wanting to try this mod out...
1. Don't use V8 - it is buggy, use V7 with fixpack instead
2. ATM Gibberlings3 servers are down, even if those were online I doubt download links for V7 works
3. You have to start multiplayer game to setup party then move save to save folder (instead of mpsave) - can't setup starting party in solo play the usual way (it's BG2 engine limitation)
4. Don't know much about NPC mode project mentioned above but as it is BG2 engine it is possible to reorganize party. AFAIK no such mod came out.

There were minor bugs here and there (no gamebreakers as long as you save often) but it was playable. But after all IWD:EE is perfectly playable with most enhancement brought by IWD in BG2 so unless you want to save few bucks and you have both vanilla IWD and BG2 (and you can obtain iirc 7.12 of IWD in BG2) it is enjoyable to play this mod. Otherwise I suggest to just buy IWD:EE
