I can save the game progress but it seems on my os windows 10 64bit when I save the game or even the settings in the menu for audio and controller stuff it always resets after I shut the game down and start it up again. is there a fix or is anyone else experiencing this?
Have you checked after loading a save ?

The way most JRPGs work is that the options menu at boot controls what happens for a New Game and that the settings for old saves are kept in that save and adjusted by the option menu after loading (and will only stick through reloads if you save after changing them)

Yeah after I load my in game save it still sets all the options in default which is odd I am using an xbox one controller, it reverts the controller to keyboard and audio sliders with some other stuff. I found out on the steam forums that there are other people having my problem. so I wont be surprised if they did not fix it for the GOG version lol but meh I can live if they don't bother with it.
The Steam version have the same problem - maybe there is a solution there? I'll need to check it later.
The config is saved in "C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Idea Factory International, Inc\Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1" as "Neptune.ini". Does your windows profile/account have sufficient rights to save there?

If it gets reverted on start-up, just configure it ingame, then lock the file to "read only" in properties.

Did not work... very odd unless it is not saving the settings and just doing it temporally in game for the controller I found out the other stuff is saving but here is what my whole .ini looks like if you guys have a different one with a controller option that saved? maybe copy and paste it here for me to check it out.

if you can find anything that can be great but question I presume you have this as well but what controller are you using? a logitech f310 pad or a 360 or xboxone pad? cause I am using the xbox one pad and I was looking up some shit and some people said I have no problems unless the game does not save settings when anything xbox is hooked up and just logitech only

but I posted my .ini file and maybe if yours works you can post it bellow so I can give it a shot
I'm using the XBox 360 controller, and the only difference in the file seems to bee the ID of the device.

so the steam version had this problem fixed? odd how they did not have that fix for this version. well I guess it's something we will have to live with I guess cause I don't see them even wasting time to fix this problem unless it was game breaking in a way... lazy companies in a way
I made a mistake here apparently , as the sound and speech options aren't saved, but resolution and controller device are saved correctly. Seems to be a design choice. Just checked with the steam version.

There is no difference between the two game versions for me.

As I said in other thread IFI answered my ticket a while ago , it's not a bug , it's a design choice . Some of those settings saved in a save slot .
I also can second it from other similar game. Some things were made so in case controller won't be recognized on game start, you won't be locked from playing it.

Skysect:
So we just have to change language everytime? Well, ok. At least we know why. :P
Weird, I'm sure the steam version saved all my settings when I played it, at least I don't remember having to switch to jap language everytime.
