Hey guys, is there a patch on the way to solve the problem of the enemy hogs NEVER moving? It's a bit of a game breaker, and if there isn't a fix, I think the game should be removed from the store... it really harms 90% of the game.

Thanks.

I had to try and see if it was true or not. Sure if you're next to the enemy it will be easy for the enemy to shoot you at point blank range, but it's a real game breaker if the enemies don't move. If they dón't move at all it's waaaaaaaaaay too easy to kill the enemies.
Just realized this on mission 4... Enemy hogs really don't move. I hope there's a fix for that.

I sent a ticket to GOG support. It's a game breaking bug in my opinion.
A quote from Hogs of War wikipedia article:

In single player mode a significant difference exists in the versions of the game as presented on PlayStation and PC. On the PlayStation the NPC pigs are mobile and will move to take more advantageous firing positions or make use of buildings, vehicles, weapon drops and health packs; in the PC game the NPC pigs do not walk at all, and only move to acquire weapon drops when of a rank equipped with jet-packs.

Well that sucks. Kinda regret buying this now. Just assumed it would be the same as the PS1 release

That's incredibly disappointing if that is the case.

Oh wow... This sucks. But at the same time not surprising. I've noticed some music tracks are missing as well.

What were Infogrames thinking? This is some major bullshit.

Same here.
well unless gog does something about it, I'll be requesting a refund.

Even if this was a case with the PC original this IS a gamebreaking bug and should not have been shipped in such a condition.

It's not a bug, I believe it is a design decision. I think they released a PC version first, updated it and released a PS1 version afterwards.

And since original developer company is gone I don't think anything can be done about this.
I played through the PC version a couple years ago and didn't even notice that. My memory must have played tricks.

You are absolutely right. It was commonly known at the time, which is why many (like myself) moved from the PC version to the PS1 game. Whether anyone will ever release a patch for it is anyone's guess. We still live in hpoe.

I don't think GOG should remove it, but they might consider adding a note to the listing to explain the difference for those that aren't aware of it.
