After downloading and extracting the soundtrack, multiple files lack information tags and will not play in Windows Media Player. They produce a "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file" error.
The problem occurs with tracks 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 14, 17, 27, 29, 30, 31, and 32.
I downloaded the soundtrack twice, but to no avail. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, if that matters.

Have you checked to make sure your antivirus or firewall are not interfering with the download?
Some of the missing tags can be causing the problews for WMP.
Try editing the tags yourself. Track 5 is called Sorceress Castle, right ? Input that name by hand in the 'TITLE' field and see if WMP can play it after that.
To edit tags manually: Right click the audio file in question > Properties > Details
Or you can also use iTunes to change the tags, that's what i usually do.
Thanks for the replies. Tried downloading it once without my antivirus program on, but it didn't make a difference.
My OS and WMP just don't seem to like some of the files. I even get errors when trying to edit the info tags.
However, I just tried opening the files with Quicktime and it actually plays them, so I guess I'll just use that program instead.
I was having the exact same problem, but Quicktime works for me as well.
When trying to play these tracks Media Player gives error: 'file is missing media usage rights'. Overwriting tags, as Namur suggested, solves the problem.

Use other program (like MP3Tag) to make some minor changes (like setting the same genre) and you'll be able to play all files in WMP.
I guess GOG Support could be notified of this. It's a minor issue, but correcting this wouldn't hurt :).

Patch is for older versions of our installer - if you downloaded the game recently, you can switch music tracks via shortcut in Start Menu
