FulVal: Bad news from official support... It says that music is working fine and that it loops...

I have already reinstalled it many, many times...

I think that they was playing it with the source port...
I am quite sure that they actually simply did not test it correctly. As it has been said, the looping error only occurs when accessing a loading screen. You should reply and tell them that many here in this thrread have reported the bug. It's perfectly reproduceable if they test it CORRECTLY. If not they simply are not capable to test and fix it ... that would be sad though.
Nope, it works bad also when i try to restart single player...

Try to start single player mode, press f9 and restart it; musics will not restart...

"Hello,

I'm sorry for the late reply. We're currently overwhelmed with work.

I've just checked the game. Made a fresh installation of it and played it for half an hour. During that time I did not encountered any issues with music not looping. Please provide more details about your issue, especially if by chance, the problem with music loop not working is present only in certain circumstances.
Regards,
Dr Cat

Maybe you could show him this thread here in which it is confirmed by several people that looping does not work. If he really is unable to reproduce this bug he probably should let him help from some guys who know how to test!

Btw: I just tested your way. Selected new game, pressed f9 (with and without quicksave available) and the music did not stop at all. ALso pressed ESC and chose to start a new game - music did not stop. No fix installed. I was able to reproduce the bug only when entering a loading screen when music played only. I'd suggest you to make a savegame prior to entering the loading screen, sent this to support and tell them that they should start a game, load the save, wait for the music to play, enter the door and then they simply have to wait.

Here is a savefile right before the first loading screen
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wHiItFW_RpJdfsVurLTwd-584NAXa9oX/view?usp=sharing

They just need to enter and wait.

Hey guys.
I've found this forum thread and quite a nice circle you have here.
Just want to clarify three things:
@FulVal
The description provided in your initial ticket, which due to GDPR I cannot quote here, is very vague and misleading, in context of the problem, that really occurs in the game. It also does not describes under what circumstances the issue with loop happen. Next time, when you will quote me, don't forget to copy your own message firstly, to let people know the full context.
And no, I did not used any source ports. You also did not asked for that, but somehow I'm not surprised seeing such statement here.

@Marko
" If he really is unable to reproduce this bug he probably should let him help from some guys who know how to test!" Chill a bit. GOG Tech Support is not QA. I have checked the game for over 30 minutes, did not encountered the error. I also did not dismissed the case and asked FulVal to clarify it and provide more details. It's in the quoted text and you can read it.

One hint for the future:
- If you found something in GOG game that is broken, please write to our technical support directly. Please also describe the problem in as much detail as you can. Writing that something "it's not working" is not helpful if the issue can only be triggered under some certain circumstances.

I could not be chilled more - but the very fact that several people were able to reproduce the error and that it is written here perfectly in detail by several people how to reproduce it simply provoked what I said. Of course I made my statement under the impression that you have been provided all the information we have here.

Well, now that you found the thread and read the statements about how to reproduce the bug - maybe even used the savefile I provided - it should be easy to reproduce the issue and therefore fix it. That it all that is important.

Here on Galaxy, there was an update today that "fixed problems with music looping". Can you guys see if it really fixed for you?
Nope, it's not fixed...
According to the "What did just update" thread:

HeXen II
Offline installer updated to 1.11 music fix
Gog changelog:
"Internal Hotfix (10 March 2021)
fixed problems with music looping"

@FuVal: Are you sure that you tried the version above? If you are using the offline installer it migt be that it wasm't updated when you tested it.
I don't use offline installer...

is NOT fixed

I'm using windows 10, is a compatibility problem?

You really should be using a source port. That should solve your Hexen II issues:

https://www.gog.com/forum/heretic_hexen_collection/configuring_hexen_2s_and_portal_of_praevus_music_in_the_hammer_of_thyrion_source_port
I already know that...
