1.1.9.4 is available at least per "Offline Installer" on GOG now. (GOG changelog stops at 1.1.9.2 though...)
Changes here - too many to list directly: https://forums.crateentertainment.com/t/grim-dawn-version-1-1-9-4/112749

1.1.9.8 patch is live, patch notes here

Hopefully not long before GOG updates as well.
Yup Galaxy has the patch up at the moment. Not sure about the offline installers yet.
Are there any plans on releasing a 1.1.9.7 to 1.1.9.8 patch? I can see that only the installers have been updated to 1.1.9.8. I'd rather not do a reinstall just to update.

Should already be out, I updated my version to 1.1.9.8 via Galaxy the other day. Have you turned automatic updates off by any chance?

I use Lutris instead of Galaxy. It uses the installers/patches from the offline downloads (see attached image). As of the time of this post, Patch (1.1.9.7 to 1.1.9.8) is still not available.

No idea what Lutris is, but far as I know the game is only sold through Steam, GOG and Humble Bundle so if you're not updating from GOG then that's your problem.

He is using GoG, but not Galaxy, just the Oflline Installers with another client. Problem is, ther eis no Offline Installer Patch, but then this is not only a GD problem, its for quite some games.
64-bit exe no longer works since this update, and just gives me black screen on startup. I've tried the various forum solutions here and on Steam with no success. 32-bit exe is the only one that works.

Working here under Windows 10, maybe a plugin is interacting?
