"I was just informed by a Steam community member that you have "moved on" updating Pharaonic. I don't have no problem with this but at least update GOG to the actual Steam release as well (including German text). You still sell it on GOG and yet you don't update it there as well. Do you think GOG customers are worthless and cannot expect the same treatment? If you don't want to update GOG then REMOVE it from GOG so other people won't buy an outdated version of a game. Everything else is nearly illegal. So please tell me when GOG will be updated and if you still don't want to update GOG at all be assured that I won't buy any other games from you. I will also tell people about how you treat GOG customers wherever and whenever I can. I hate such practices from devs/publishers who should know better. Please tell me that I am overreacting here and that GOG will receive the missing update very soon."
"Hello Marko,
The GOG version clearly states the supported languages, not including german, so claiming it as "nearly illegal" is definitely overreacting. We'll see if we can release an update there, as updating a game on GOG is a longer and more complex process, while on Steam all it takes is literally a single click.
Regards,"
"Hello, the "nearly illegal" thing I was mentioning was the fact that you take the same money from customers of both stores but don't provide the same support. Of course German is not mentioned on th e gamecard but people expect it to be the newest version just as if they bought on Steam. Regarding the update "problem" - meanwhile you have the possibility to update GOG via GOG Galaxy API which should be nearly as easy as it is on Steam. And let me again state the most impossible thing: If you don't plan to support on all stores simply don't sell on all stores. I am really starting getting sick with devs mentioning that it is additional work ... well, maybe it is but you have no problems still getting additional money and that is just plain wrong. If you cannot see this maybe you should not work in game development at all because this way you will lose trust in your customers for sure.
Regards Marko"
Mal sehen, ob nun etwas passiert....
