I am running GOG Galaxy on a Mac. It is set to launch at startup, which is fine, however, every time it launches it prompts me for my user credentials in order to install a helper app. It should not need to do this.

Does anyone else see this behavior?

same here. Every time I turn off my Mac gog galaxy tries to install a helper tool asks for my password that I supply every time.It became one of the reasons that I buy my games from other markets.

Whew ok, I thought I was taking crazy pills. Ive never even got Galaxy to run because it pops that helper up, i enter my info, nothing happens and then it just closes on its own. Is there some solution we dont know about?

I come from the future! In my timeline, it's September 27, 2022.

I have GOG Galaxy installed on MacOS 12.5.1, it runs fine, but I still get asked on every reboot for credentials so that it can install a helper (kernel extension?).
Its 2024 and have this same exact issue and cannot install games. Is there a solution out here?
No solution here, just that I can install games but yeah, every time I start my mac, it asked to install a helper app. If I don't do it, it stops me from doing other things, so I give it my info every time, just to do it again on the next startup -.-
March 2025 and the same issue on my Macbook 16" Pro M1 Max. This Galaxy client is such a pain in the *** now

may 2025 and yeah I got here searching for the same thing. I can decline it and it still lets me launch but its mad annoying...
I just came for the same thing. That and the fact that I can't install any game because of an E4 error. I'll switch to my old windows 10 computer it'll be easier I guess.
