fabelhahn: Indeed: the current version of GOG Galaxy is causing RepairGOG-GalaxyImages not to work while still having the years old bug with the cover images sometimes not showing...
The problem is: GOG Galaxy simply does not download the cover image at all. No 0 byte file. Nothing. Since it seems nearly impossible to find the game ID by folder name I can't get a list of images for a game to download. I tried some workarounds but it costs so much time and it seems there is no "easy fix" for this on my side.
Bugfixing the problem itself is something the developers at GOG should do!
MarkoH01: Thank you for taking the time to read this. Since your script did indeed work pretty good for earlier versions of Galaxy this is what I would suggest: The problem is: GOG Galaxy simply does not download the cover image at all. No 0 byte file. 1) Uninstall Galaxy
2) Reinstall older version of Galaxy like this
https://content-system.gog.com/open_link/download?path=/open/galaxy/client/2.0.71.2/setup_galaxy_2.0.71.2.exe
3) Use Repair script and repair all images.

4) Check for Galaxy updates and let Galaxy update itself with all images intact.
That was the way it worked for me.
