Has anyone else encountered the issue where cloud syncing for saves randomly chooses to not work? It gives me the "delayed due to a heavy load" message on certain games, but most games work with it just fine. I've tried searching this but I couldn't seem to find anyone else encountering the issue.

If anyone has encountered this, are there any solutions? I've made redundant backups of my saves for some of my favorite games but I'd like to keep using cloud sync wherever possible.

Thanks for any suggestions and, hopefully, solutions.

It could be wo things: When it occurs to me it use to be a temporal poor connection problem. The next time you run it the game should sync.
I occurs to me also when you run the game without Galaxy, later if entering into Galaxy you will see that message along the play button. The next time you run he game using Galaxy it should sync. Apparently Galaxy detects that the game cloud sync is not up-to-date and it advertises it. At least it is my guessing.

Hi, I appreciate your response but unfortunately, this issue has been happening (particularly with The Witcher 3) for a few weeks now, even after trying to run the game several different times.

I’ve encountered the same issue for a while now, at least the same warning was shown. It happened constantly and not just for random games but basically for every game with cloud saves.

At first I thought it was a problem with the firewall configuration but recently I managed to fixed it changing the limit rate for the download speed (Galaxy settings) to about 20~30% less than my total bandwidth (before I had it configured to try to have the maximum possible)

Made the change a couple of days ago and, for now, cloud saving is working again for every game that I've installed that supports the feature (none of them is Witcher 3 btw)

Give it a try if you can to see if it helps

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll try it and then test it later. Whether it works or not, I'll come back here!

Sorry for the delay, I've been really busy the past couple days and I just now got around to testing it. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work. Still, thanks for your suggestion!
I'm having this issue, for the first time, since yesterday.

I try play No Man Sky and it say the cloud can't sync. Cause of that, the game is launched few minutes later in a offline mode. So I can't play online and can't sync my save.

Wow, that sucks big time. If it's that crucial for you, I'd definitely recommend opening a support ticket. I'm honestly thinking of doing the same. The issue hasn't affected me in a way that's as serious as that but it IS annoying to deal with.

Just curious, are you running Windows 7? I've had a couple other minor issues that are chalked up to the fact that I'm running with 7 and Galaxy is technically only supported on 8 and above.
Quick update, after about one week again cloud saves aren't working anymore.
So I suppose that my previous post can be ignored.

I also recommend (and I already did) contact with support, since even the GOG says that cloud sync issue have to be checked individually:

And just in case, I'm also a Windows 7 user.

I'm using Windows 10.

I was searching from some foruns and i what a fellow that said to full close GOG Galaxy and then open the task manager and manual close the Galaxy Communication Service and then reopen GOG Galaxy.

I tried that and after couple of minutes, the cloud sync started to work again.

Unfortunately, I've tried that and it doesn't seem to help me but thanks for sharing (as that may help others)!
I had the same issue recently with Horizon Zero Dawn and nothing I tried worked until I reinstalled GOG Galaxy. Maybe try just logging out and back in, I don't quite remember if I tried just that, but reinstalling GOG Galaxy is how I fixed it after days of not being able to sync.
Hello
Personnaly I have the issue on all the games I played and I can't figure it out why. The feature is enabled on my PC, i uninstall/reinstall Galaxy several times, log in/log out, no internet connection issues, etc. I'm honnestly out of clues so somebody has any, it would be very nice to share.
YES.. it did that to me and i forgot that it did before i took back my New Gamin pc because it was faulty. I got a new pc and went to play Horizon Zero Dawn, and I notice My Inventory was MISSING ALOT OF WEAPONS, ARMOR, and Other. but my Rank Level is the same.... any idea?? or how i can even get all of that back? it took a long time to gain all i Lost. thank u..
