The Xbox version of Silent Hill 2 is probably your best bet. It has some stuff not in the PS2 version, I don't know if it's in the PC version. It's also guaranteed to work with your Xbox, while the PC version may or may not work with Vista/XP.

Thanks!
Decided to GameTap 2 and 3 (99 cents for one month, I'll see how that goes) and get 4 from Konami.
EDIT: Konami doesn't have 4 on PC. Never mind...

Silent Hill 2 works with xp. Don't know about vista though.
About half a year ago I played and finished SH1, 2 and 3 on my WinXP SP3 based PC. No problems whatsoever.
Silent Hill 1 came out only on PS1, but some fans made great port using emulation. It behaves just like a normal PC game (compared to the port of, for example, RE4, its much better).

Well, that's interesting about SH1 on the PC. Man, what fans will do -- heh.
It's surprising Konami didn't stop them.
That or say Konami take that SH1 PC port and decide to release it commercial to the PC cheap over say GOG. :P
I still got SH1 on my PSX. :)

I'm very curious to this, do you have a site with some documentation on it?

it's not a port, actually. just the psx version, an emulator (epsxe, iirc) and a psx rom all bundled together in a rather nice and easy to use package.

Yep, I tried it and it was packed with epsxe. It was pretty impressive though, they had done some hacks to enhance greatly the graphics (more than default epsxe).
Check google for Silent Hill PC epsxe.

I'll give the link.

I don't know, links to torrents doesn't sound so great, I just wanted some information.. maybe you should edit your post or something before a mod catches it.

Well it seems like there hasn't been any problem for a long time for this PC port. So I don't know... you should edit yours too ;O
