Licurg: Praetorians is RTT, real-time tactics. Smaller maps, and you control groups of units, as opposed to individuals. Using the terrain to your advantage is very important.

Imperial Glory is basically like Total War, if you like any of those, you'll like this one.
Thank you. I've ummm... never played Total War; but [Edited] from the description below both sound like winners.

undeadcow: Thank you. I've ummm... never played Total War; but if I understand correctly it's more management driven with less emphasis on tactical combat and more of a sending out lemmings to automatically fight style (I could be wrong) so may pass on Imperial Glory. Praetorians sounds like a winner.
Yeah... That's not Total War at all :P It's turn-based management on the strategy map, where you decide what building/units to build, assassinations, diplomacy, etc. The battles are real time strategy . I suggest you get both Imperial Glory and the first Total War (It's really cheap on GG) .

Nice, that sounds more like it. Thank you.
I'll grab Soulbringer tomorrow, the rest I have or not interested in.
Anyone have a take on Soulbringer?

Medieval hunting game? Sounds cool.

Soulbringer is a good game to chill with in the evenings. I enjoy it. YMMV

ETA: Soulbringer is also very fitting for an end of summer promo. I was introduced to it when cooler temps were setting in. Very appropriate choice of game for me on colder evenings.

Thanks. I don't know what was up with the shit reviews I read regarding bad controls. Looks like my kind of game and I always trust The Bard. :D
Sigh. I'm feeling old here. Got most of the games I really want. I miss the exhilaration of a sale.

I bet no one thinks about the feelings of me and those that are in the same position. There's no help topics on the forum for us. No sympathy. We have to fend for ourselves. It's just not right!

That actually does sound like it could be a pretty neat game if it existed. You could always get Shelter though.

undeadcow: Maybe I'm just in a game hoarding mood right now but this promo looks very promising.

Commandos was a blast playing when it first game out.

Reading some of the comments here I'm unsure about Imperial Glory and Pradetorians.

So far I'm planning on:
Commandos Ammo Pack
Realms of the Haunting
Hostile Waters
Commandos 2 + 3
Soulbringer
Imperial Glory
Pradetorians

I was thinking about buying Imperial Glory. Thanks for the info!

LovePsycko: I just bought it and to me runs very well. I have Windows 7. The game supports Widescreen but i play in 4:3 because a little bit of the screen, both up and down, doesn't show. But i tell you, the game runs fine, no major issues with it. And by the way, i didn't know this game until now and im discovering its absolutely great.

Nirth: I'm in the tutorial part myself. You say you use 4:3 but which specifc resolution? At the moment I'm playing at 1080p, I'm going to see if I can do this until I stumble upon an issue because of now it seems to only cut out a part during cutscenes or the menu but I might be wrong on that.
Now Im playing in 1280x768 but I started playing with 1366x768. I change it only because during cutscenes and on the menu, it was cutting out part of the image. Nothing more.

Hope you end up buying it, as it's a really good game.
I'm having a hard time resisting some of those creatures games.
The Creatures games are a great buy at these prices! Funny to think I've been playing them on and off since 1998... Wow! They're not everyone's cup of tea, but I still have yet to find any game that goes into artificial life, biochemistry, genetics, and actual learning in a computer simulation. And the community continues to develop third-party content that makes the games that much more enjoyable. Creatures Exodus is likely best for most, as it has a plethora of add-ons. Creatures: The Albian Years is also quite awesome, and is my favorite mostly for nostalgia.

Some of the other games sound awesome, but I have about a dozen GOG.com games that I still have yet to complete (or get further in than 10 minutes). Always a great sale here!
Great promo.
