Blade of Darkness, Overlord, Leisure Suit Larry collection, and more Codemasters classics 60% off!

We bet you missed promos! So here's one for you. And it's as sweet as leftover candy canes, with the entire [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/codemasters_weekend_promo_03012014]Codemasters Catalog of great games coming at you with a 60% off discount rate. After your wallet took a beating during our 2013 DRM-Free Winter Sale you might feel the impulse to walk away from such a great opportunity, but stop to think about it for one moment. Yes, the only logical move is to head right towards it. See, it was worth it! There's something new, and something old to be found on our promo page, to start the new year any way you like!

But maybe, just maybe, we should begin with something challenging, to burn all that extra pounds we gained over the holidays. Blade of Darkness (a.k.a. Severance) is an arcade fantasy slasher presented in third-person perspective, delivering a substantial challenge even to the most battle-hardened gamers. Known for gory and satisfying combat it boasts four different characters, each with their very own fighting style, specific weapons, and varied unlockable special attacks and combos. The game was praised for atmospheric level and enemy design, great graphics quality (wait till you see the shadows!), and gratifying combat. Exploring the game's many diverse locations and facing one formidable enemy after another, with death always breathing down your neck, makes the game feel quite on par with the recent super-hard fantasy fighting games.

What else do we have in store for you? Let's see. There are 2D games, and 3D games. Shooter games and strategy games. Racing games and soccer games. Games to cater to all tastes. And then, there's Leisure Suit Larry: Greatest Hits and Misses and Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail, famous for its poor taste, but still loved for great naughty humor!

Check out for yourself, head out to the Codemasters Catalog promo page! The offer lasts until Tuesday, January 7, at 4:59AM GMT.

ShadowWulfe: We need Overlord 2!
Agreed. We really need Overlord 2 sitting on our shelf next to Overlord.

tu32: I really want to buy Colin McRae Rally :(

SeduceMePlz: I want Colin McRae Rally 2005 and TOCA Race Driver 3 back on GOG. I'd be happy to buy them. However, I recall reading posts that mention that licenses to use some of the cars expired, and that the publisher probably doesn't consider it worthwhile to renew.

Here's an idea: If the price of license renewal isn't too much to be feasible, the publisher could run a Kickstarter to raise the money. Everyone who pledges $10 could get a code for one of the games when rereleased on GOG, and those who chip in $15 could get codes for both. Low risk project, and a win-win all the way around: We get the games, the publisher gets the license renewed without having to risk a significant investment, and GOG sells the games again.

Also, I want the newer games in those series released here, too.
The problem is the license issue isn't with Codies, it's with the auto manufacturers... so it would likely be a lot pricier than a kickstarter would support.

I feel for you though, TOCA 3 and CMR2005 were awesome purchases here. My Avatar is from the TOCA 3 extras. Keep your eyes open at second-hand shops and the like...
MAGNA CUM LAUDE WILL BE MINE.

Foxhack: MAGNA CUM LAUDE WILL BE MINE.
Played a portion of the game, felt like it was one big ****-tease... do a bunch of tasks, possibly get to see something sexual, and the game pulls it back because 'you aren't jewish?' or something just as insignificant and you're left disappointed.

MAGNA CUM LAUDE WILL almost BE MINE but then it'll be yanked away.

---_--- is that something to be proud about?
Considering I sold my boxed copy for $50 the week this game was released, yes.

I promised myself I'd get it when it went on sale.

Amazing? Don't think so. I've played it before and the only reason was the gore effects.
Oh, and showing my buddies that my machine was better than theirs :P.

I think it is amazing, still today... not for the gore (I'd rather play MK for that), but for the combat, which ask you a bit more than just button-mashing or a clickfest.

and hey.. the year is still new!
so, Happy New Year Schnuff ;p
Neat! Picked up Blade of Darkness and Overlord. Wine work your magic!

Makes for a good early 25th b-day present for myself. (Woo Jan 6th!) :D
Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail for less than $3? STEAL OF A LIFETIME.

I've played that game so many times and never tire of it. Just oozes charm.
