Stronghold Crusader HD, Empire Earth series, Space Colony, Evil Genius, and more of the fall's finest 60% off!

The evenings are getting longer and the summer sun is waning. All the signs are there: autumn is coming. It's only adequate then, that this weekend the prices on GOG.com will fall like golden leaves. Go ahead and take a look at our Autumn Assortment of 27 titles, all 60% off until Tuesday, September 9, at 3:59AM GMT. Let's take a peek at some of the titles!

Stronghold HD and Stronghold Crusader HD both feature a finely balanced mixture of "castle sim" and a challenging real-time strategy game, set in the turbulent Middle Ages. Evil Genius gives you the chance to become an old-school Bond movie villain (only this time, the evil mastermind's plan to take over the world hangs mostly on you), plotting away in his secret island fortress. With plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor the game will give you a tour of all the fun spy thriller clichés. For a more hands on approach to problem solving you can always join the Commandos, a hand-picked group of the army's finest, on their daunting World War II missions. To succeed, your elite squad needs to follow a carefully developed plan, that plays to the strengths of individual soldiers and masterfully synchronizes their attacks.

Not enough? Then have a look at all the awesome games featured in our Autumn Assortment, all 60% off until Tuesday, September 9, at 3:59AM GMT.

If you browse the promo page carefully, there is one game there with a bit higher 66% discount. Constructor is unfortunately waving a (hopefully temporary) bye-bye to GOG.com, as the rights to the game are changing hands. This is your chance to get it for only $1.99 before we have to pull it off of our shelf.

What's a WEKEEND? ;)

Nothing really interests me in this one sadly :(

micktiegs_8: After seeing a response that someone posted about future Strongholds coming to GOG (a supposed response from the devs) I'm not even humouring the idea of buying a FireFly title.
avatar
Matruchus: Where did you see that since Firefly said on several webpages already in January that no new titles from them will come here.
That was probably it... either way all they want is the pennies from us so screw them.

The End of a Weke. And Weke is a species of fish from what I can gather.
high rated
Another game leaving GOG.
Now I'm really asking if this new price policy is a good or a bad thing.

Shambhala: Before people start raging that these changes brought more misfortune: the post states that the game is leaving due to the change of ownership of the rights, not due to the new pricing policies.
That should be underlined in bold, I started raging already.
I'm still sad about all these losses, howevver..

So, a Weke's tail? Eww XD
Nothing for me this time...

Crosmando: It keeps happening bro
Next Promo: The entire GOG catalog is being delisted, plz buy everything before we go out of business.
That's a mean post and totally not necessary.
We need a major sale...
Another game leaving? :-(

animalmother2105: Nothing for me this time...
Yep, it's a mixed feeling of disappointment and relief!
avatar
mrking58: So is someone planning on remaking Constructor or something? I would have no idea on why someone would want to the rights to Constructor these days
Also possible that the company owning the rights has been bought. Might have nothing to do with the game itself.
Nothing for me this time. I mean, I already got everything, so...

The game's ownership is changing hands. Nothing to do with pricing this time.

Let's hope the new owner is receptive to the idea of those games (Mob Rule is probably included) not going away.

Edit: Hmm it appears Mob Rule does not have a higher discount. Now I think I was wrong and am wondering if it was a company buyout or the game's rights have been sought out. Maybe mrking58 is right after all.
