VVVVVV on GOG. This game is awesome, and it has only 140 votes?
It's a crime :l
141 now :)
It has one of the best soundtrack too. Pushing Onward is amazing :)
GOG also needs Limbo - NEEDS it!
I loved that game up to a point, but I had to stop playing it, because

1) I wasn't capable of getting one of the collectables (the one where you have to go up a multiple-screen slanted spiked passage, grab it, and then go down the same) and
2) my OCD wouldn't let me shrug it off and keep playing.

(But sure, GOG should get this game, although if they're not willing to start selling at price points below $6--they haven't announced how that experiment went--then they won't be able to price it competitively against Steam.)

(And Fever_Discordia is right, I'd love to see Limbo here)

because it was not really an experiment, just a cleverly disguised marketing ploy and promo.

That parts a pain, but if you stick at it you should be able to get the timing down. And at least once you get the trinket you can just suicide to go back to the checkpoint, instead of having to go back the way you came.

Has either of you done any data analysis? I do believe it will take 2-3 months to be able to present results, so I'd say we'll see them in either the summer convention or the fall one. Especially considering the fact that they not only have to see how much the games sold, but see who bought them, and what the buying habits of those who bought them are. Did they have them on the wishlist, and bought them once the price was reduced? Did they buy them despite not being on the wishlist? Did they buy those game only when they went on promo? Was the price of the game irrelevant to those buying?

many of those questions requires a questionnaire or interview. I it not enough with sales data. If not it is just speculations. Marketing, I call it.

Which questions specifically?

I agree. I listen to the soundtrack quite frequently myself, I just love it.
only if GOG finalizes the <$5.99 price points.

"Was the price of the game irrelevant to those buying?"screams out straight away :)

Any question about the wishlist is problematic, as it is very subjective what people use the wishlist for. I never use them at all, for example. However, this do not mean that there are not any games here I want to buy when it drops in price / when I feel like it. Interfering anything on the value on the wishlist without any further investigations are , I would consider, a little pointless.

Not necessarily. For example, I mostly buy games when they are discounted. I don't really care for their initial price. The only games in this experiment that were discounted were games I already had. So for me, the price was irrelevant, it's the fact that they weren't on promo that prevented me from buying them. My current buying habits do show that, so while confirmation would require an interview/questionnaire, it can be interpreted like that. Thus the time needed for analysis.

And again, it can't be a simple "Did he buy the game because it was on his wishlist?" check. They do have to see how often one buys games he has on his wishlist, how often he buys games not on his wishlist, and see how the experiement games fit with that behaviour. Which all adds up to more time needed for analysis, thus the 2-3 months I predicted.
