Fever_Discordia: Rune is listed on Steam as published by 'Human Head Software' which I think was the dev, no? So maybe not - TAKE 2 UNCONFIRMED!1!!!

tfishell: Maybe they're self-publishing it now. In any case, having played it illegally, I can say it's a very fun hack and slash and a great classic to bring to GOG, but I do feel like it outstayed its welcome. I never finished it because I got board with it eventually.

EDIT: Hopefully the OST will be included - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M39p-120CVM&list=PLD133EC73F67AA5C8 but with more than one artist I wonder if GOG will be able to.
You know I just read the Wikipedia entry for Gathering of Developers and it says:
"Gathering of Developers (aka God Games and Gathering) was a Texas-based PC and video games publishing company, founded in January 1998 with the mission to bridge the gap between publishers and independent game developers, allowing independent developers creative control over their projects, ownership of their IP, and participation in the publishing and marketing decisions"

So maybe most of the rights to the GoD stuff is with the devs and not Take 2? I just checked Age of Wonders and that's here under 'Triumph studios' who I assume was the dev there...

That's a fair point. We have Darkstone, too.

It would be cool if it was Lost Viking because that *might* belong to Blizzard now and its about time they let their back catalogue out to play!
I would tend to side with those thinking it's Rune.

The text refers clearly to Yggdrasil, the tree of life, from which Odin hung, perced by a lance, for 9 days. Odin learned then the secret of the runes, with which to face Loki.

Rune features Ragnar, a warrior dedicated to Odin, in the course of the eternal fight between Odin and Loki... Why would it be something else ?

That would be beast!
Hmmm, vikings... another option is New World Computing's "Hammer of the Gods". Since we have their Inherit the Earth and Anvil of Dawn, it's a likely choice.
Rune would be awesome. Never been able to buy that game since trying out the demo so long ago. I know it is on steam, but I'm not sure of the modern system support. Would love for gog to sort it all out so that I can play it finally.
Fear Carpocalypse.

Ravenvolf: I know it is on steam, but I'm not sure of the modern system support.
That's precisely why I haven't gotten it on Steam. I bought some other old games there (before they were on GOG) and had trouble running some of them, so I decided to wait for Rune to show up here. I hope that's what it is, because it will be an instabuy for me.
Much as I love free games, I don't really want to create another forum account... Oh, well.
Yes, TET - you are a princess! :D
GOG tweeted this earlier today.
They sure did. =P
If it is Rune, does that mean 2K has come to gog?
