I could have sworn your text was blue for a while back then, and then was changed back to black, and now back to blue again?

Anyway, congrats Captain Carrot! :-D

Eww... There are actually people who actually use the dark-on-light color scheme? What the hell is wrong with you? o_O

Congratz man, So Just a question, Are you still gonna make your own threads and be the carrot we know or are you gonna just drop by and be all like "I am the exalted one, I will only post once in a while"

I specifically use the darker color scheme because, oddly enough, I find "blinding shade of white"" to be incredibly hard on the eyes. :P

When I was younger, this sort of color scheme was the norm (i.e. MS-DOS), but then around the time of the GUI, they decided that emulating the look of paper by having the monitor emitting pure #FFFFFF with 90% of it's pixels was a good idea. Don't know how anybody can stand that, really. ¬_¬
woah this is a surprising thread, congrats
According to this article on Wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light-on-dark_color_scheme

"There seems to be a dispute among vision and perception researchers about whether it is actually easier or healthier to read text on dark or light background; there is a similar dispute between users, when using each other's computer terminals."

So yeah, different feel for different people, I guess. I also don't know if the monitor type has anything to do with this (mine is the old, non-LCD monitor, what is the term of it actually... And it is my workstation in the office, so it's not like I have any choice with what I get. At home I use laptop/notebook, so for that I do have a choice :-) )
