If they're not stand-alone updaters, it's (to me) good enough if I can drop them in a folder where the updater looks, and it'll realise "hey, all these updates are stored locally, so I'll just use them rather than try connecting to CDP's servers".

If that doesn't get people to stay with their pre-order buy on GOG, then nothing will. All concerns for future usage seems resolved now.

That said, if you're brainy enough to figure out how to do it, yeah, there's no DRM restrictions preventing you from installing the files on another copy of the game.
