Telika: Ah. Yeah. Well, I'm just sorry that they get these versions of goblins/giants. Such little censorships always irk me, precisely because it's "no big deal", and make for versions that I don't really wish to buy.

(And yes, I'm one of those "han shot first" people.)
In the case of Giants, you can easily fix it yourself. Just remove the arpfix.gzp file from the bin-folder.

Testing



Ironstar's ctrl + f5 technique seems to work fine ! (deleting the cookies, disconnecting from wifi for about 10 minutes and using another browser did not work...)

I'm gonna try and find a youtube video about the edutainment software I was talking about ^^ It cames with 3-4 other games but gobliiins was the best and the last to be unlocked.

But it was one of the greatest edutainment software available :-). They used to teach us on it at school and I had a "Home" version also :P

I'm not sure how much this may apply to the game, but there are some regions/countries that can only allow certain censored versions of the game. Some games in the US are banned elsewhere, or have severely watered down versions. And a few are the other way around (though I can't think of any right now).

My question is this: Does GOG have different versions for the regions, or is it that they go with the censored version (that is allowed everywhere) to avoid complications?

Mainly japanese games that feature the "cross" or "Churches"...
Xenogears is an exemple.. another would be Castlevania IV on the Snes ..

I provoked the discussion about censorship after all ;)

Guys, I don't really care whether GOG are puritans or not, what's the attitude of their mother company or whether GOG has different versions for the regions. Sorry! I should have said - I don't care at the moment! Because right now I'm so amused I cannot think seriously about anything! It's just HILARIOUS!
