The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, a traditional jRPG masterpiece with 50+ hours of breathtaking storytelling is available 15% off on GOG.com. That's $16.99 for the first week!

The Orbal Revolution changed the Kingdom of Liberl. Innovations created with the use of the mystical "orbal energy" advanced the civilization by centuries in just 50 years. Now gleaming airships take to the skies, the night is lit with orbal-powered lanterns, and communication is easier than ever with telephones. However, breakneck pace of change brings many risks. With the emergence of high-powered guns and potent magic the kingdom has become a powder keg. This is where the Bracer Guild steps in, an efficient and esteemed force acting as police and negotiators. And here is where your story begins…

The first proper JRPG in GOG.com's catalog is a true gem, a title acclaimed for its novel-like multi-faceted characters, drama-packed story, and detailed lore. Follow Estelle and Joshua, children of the greatest hero of a bygone era, on a quest to find their father and uncover a plot threatening to destabilize an already volatile world. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is a rare game that creates a vast fantasy world and populates it with monsters and men you will care about. The game adds an original twist to the turn-based combat system, features highly customisable gear, and tops it all off with surprising accessibility even for genre-newbies.

Discover the secrets and dangers of Zemuria with your band of vagabonds in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 15% off for the first week. That's $16.99 until Tuesday, August 5, at 3:59PM GMT.

I have a feeling that someone done goofed and posted this too early but I just happened to find it, lol.

It's probably not going to go live until tomorrow.

tinyE: Must be one of those cool "invisible games" I've been hearing about! :D
There actually is a game, called Blindside, which is designed to be audio-only.

One could call it an audiogame rather than a videogame, I guess :P

Perhaps the intangibility of the game means we're actually getting Ghost Riders In The Sky?

Was that the one about monks or something?
I remember trying that.. four years ago perhaps.

It's this game: http://www.desura.com/games/blindside

I haven't tried it yet but I have it lying around so I should try it sometime.

Ah, I think mine was this mod from six years ago.
Can't be that many audio only games about monks.
I don't often buy games at launch (when they eventually do launch for sale) but Trails in tke Sky stands out of being immediately deserving of support. It's refreshing to see Xseed bring material to the DRM free marketplace so aside from being excited to play Trails In the Sky I'm "voting with my wallet" for more quality RPGs and new publishers. I'd love to hear Xseed go from being indecisive about confirming additional games to GOG (assuming that is the case) to them being totally confident ("how could we not release on GOG?"). Support quality RPG releases.

Hoping to see here 2nd chapter and Corpse party too.
And please, I want Japanese dub, not this "inferior" Eng dub. :p

Oh geesh, hadn't even thought of that.
I guess it's a good thing GOG didn't put up a working page.

You might as well import the Japanese version as the Japanese voice overs are for Japan only. Sorry to be blunt like this but I just read a thread where people were expressing their distaste at the lack of the Japanese voices.

XSEED was unable to officially bring the Japanese voicework over, for licensing reasons. For more details, you can read the posts by omgfloofy in this Steam forum thread.

It is likely to be possible to substitute the Japanese voicework if you have the Japanese PC re-release version, as far as I've heard.

For what it's worth, it's about ten lines per character, all of which are battle grunts (language-less anyway) and some things when casting spells ("arts" I think they're called). The amount of voicework is minimal, and it was not present in the original 2004 Japanese PC release anyway.

The game will include the option to turn off the voicework altogether.

Yeah there really isn't much voice work since IIRC they recorded all the battle voices for the first three games before they even touched the text.
Personally, I prefer Japanese voice acting over Western, as they seem to have better characterization and are easier on my ears. Too bad that there is often red tape concerning the licensing of Japanese voices...

Corpse Party is great, but I don't expect to see the PSP games ported anytime soon.. and there are no PC versions of them.

Corpse Party Dead Patient is on PC though, would be awesome if XSEED localizes it.
