Mirror mirror on the wall, darkest castle of them all!

The Black Mirror, an exclusive bonus content-packed edition of the dark murder-mystery adventure game with occult undertones, is available 20% off on GOG.com. That's only $7.99 for the first week.

Black Mirror Castle stands over ancient lands with secrets buried and best forgotten. The crumbling ruins breathe with a life of their own, haunted by the past and waiting to meet the present. Following the sudden death of his grandfather, Samuel Gordon returns to his estate after an absence of twelve years. While attempting to understand the reasons behind his grandfather’s death, he uncovers an ancient family secret. As Samuel learns the truth of the mysterious origins of the land and history of Black Mirror Castle, he comes face to face with madness, murder, and the true reflection of his soul.

The Black Mirror delivers a thrilling, original horror story featuring six different chapters and five hours of spoken dialogue. There's over 150 locations to explore as you seek to unravel the grim mysteries of Black Mirror Castle, solving puzzles and riddles in a dark, haunting atmosphere. On GOG.com the game comes packed with lots of exclusive digital bonus content, including an original soundtrack (MP3 only) and a special editon soundtrack in both high-quality MP3 as well as FLAC format.

If you're the one to seek out eerie tales of mysticism and murder playing out in old gothic castles, away from the lights of the world, make sure to pick up The Black Mirror, for only $7.99 on GOG.com. The 20% off special release discount lasts until Thursday, July 10, at 9:59AM GMT.

Phaidox: That's so, so true. While BM3 nails the gloomy atmosphere the series is famous for, the plot is a trainwreck - it's scattered, aimless, veers dangerously close to cheesy territory and runs out of steam approximately halfway through. There's no mystery or suspense, which is the biggest offender.
True. Actually, it would be best to pretend BM2 and 3 don't exist. BM1 story can live up on its own, and it's really good horror adventure game.

With some annoying pixel hunting but still.

Impaler26: Looks like it's "Adventure Week" at GOG.com again... How surprising... :D

On to the next release!

A adventure game!? on GoG?

That's preposterous!
Excellent release! Great game, great bonus content, great price! Wishlisted for now as I spent all my money on the summer sale, but a definite future purchase! Thanks GOG and Nordic Games for yet another outstanding release!
Just a quick FYI:

The German version contains all of the fixes of the German Special Edition and you should see a "1.0SE" version number in the main menu of the game. Thanks for reading :)

Cool! Hopefully Titan Quest will appear this year via Nordic. (I'm not exactly sure what the holdup could be, unless maybe compatibility issues or trying to revive multiplayer for Galaxy.)

Also, as "Z" is suppose to come to Steam tomorrow, I really do hope GOG is not too far behind.

I see 5 July 2014 as a release day for Z on Steam, which is Saturday - very unusual day for GOG release:( Maybe next week...

Well I think that's unusual for a Steam release day, too. Maybe Kiss keeps changing the release date, so it won't even happen on July 5th.

high rated
Hope you enjoy this unique gem release :)

And for everyone who is worrying about the rights situation: we fully own Black Mirror. Viva Media just has some distribution rights, that is all.

Good release! I have a boxed copy of this (US version) so it's wishlisted for now. The version I have has a very intrusive copyprotection (StarForce? Tages?) that tries to install drivers that don't work on Win7/64.

deonast: Doh, got excited for a minute, confused this for the Black Dahlia, a FMV game that had Dennis Hopper which I have the box version of and never got around to playing and suspect with all 8 CDs that I'd probably have more fun and games trying to get it working then actual play time.

This game however I'm not familiar with so I'll have to investigate
Oh, if we're talking Dennis Hopper videogames, then I want Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller!

Okay I just checked for myself, and it still says July 4th for me. Must be a time difference.

Thanks! Another shoutout for Titan Quest and other Nordic-owned titles high up on the wishlist. :)

Nice release! I have quite fond memories of Black Mirror, sadly I haven't quite recovered from the summer sale yet, so this will have to sit around on the wishlist for a bit. Still, always nice to have something to look forward to :)
This is a great game! Please GOG, bring the entire trilogy :)
Ahhhh, what a lovely surprise! Yes please!
