Furry freelance cop buddy flick finally on GOG!

Sam & Max Hit the Road, the very first point-and-click adventure game starring the furry freelance police duo, is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux - for the first time in digital distribution - on GOG.com, for only $5.99!

Grab your nightstick, squeal like a siren, and Sam & Max Hit the Road, Freelance Police, as they attempt to crack their toughest case. Sam (a canine shamus) and Max (a hyperkinetic rabbity thing) are hot on the trail of a runaway carnival bigfoot across America’s quirky underbelly in this deranged animated adventure! Solving this case is up to you! You direct the actions of Sam & Max, tearing down the road with mayhem on their minds and Corn Duds™ on their breath, on a peril-fraught mission to make the world safe for Sasquatches and sentient mammals everywhere! Based on Steve Purcell's unconventional cult comic books, Sam & Max will take you on an irreverent road trip adventure that will put hair on your back. Collide with tacky tourist traps and intimidate their bizarre denizens.

Help our frightening, furry flatfoots find the fugitive freak in Sam & Max Hit the Road, for only $5.99 on GOG.com!

JudasIscariot: ..
Have you modded the games so the logo displays as JUDASARTS?

Absolute classic, man I miss that game.

DrMcCoy: So, is that ScummVM'd or DOSBox'd?
It's ScummVM.

AndywinXp: Actually it says

Languages:
English, French, German

momomomo888: I miss the Spanish version too... Fate of Atlantis says is in Spanish (and already on my Library just because of this).
The problem is that often the game cards give not all the languages that are included. So you never know. I actually bought some games and was later on quite happy to discover that other languages packs than the mentioned one existed.

I'm always amazed by how lazy is GOG on that particular subject. They claim they test and modify the games to make them run on modern system, yet the have no time to check the available languages.

AndywinXp: Has Fate Of Atlantis got an Italian installer?
Nop... only English, German, French and Spanish installers
thanks gog
Oh yes! Thanks you GOG and Disney/LucasArts! :D
So, now...

The available languages for Sam&Max are:

English, French, German, Italian

Well... I still miss the Spanish version like it already is on Fate of Atlantis :'(

Holy jumping Mother o' God in a side-car with chocolate jimmies and a lobster bib!

I never thought I'd see this here, even with LucasArts. Thank you GOG!
Excellent, this one's my personal favorite LucasArts adventure. I don't know how I finished this and Fate of Atlantis without a guide back in the day but I can't wait to get back into these games, Sam & Max in particular. Thank you GOG and Disney! :D
Happy memories. Although I have to say... I don't like the graphics much anymore. Since it's a Lucasarts it must be my fault.
No spanish version?? Is it coming soon?

I have an oriignal CDROM with it, it was a rerelease compatible with 32 bit Windows.
Would it be helpful if I send you needed files? Or is it a publisher rights issue?

I think it still holds up quite well in motion actually. :)

Probably. ;)

In my opinion the graphics of the LucasArts adventures are pretty much timeless, at least from Day of the Tentacle and onwards. Sam & Max Hit the Road has held up better after 20+ years than the Telltale version 1 day after release.
